DMTN’s Jeesu debuted solo using his new stage name KIXS with the song “Beautiful” which was released in February 2015. KIXS has an important role in this song because he is the composer of this song. DMTN’s Jeesu’s Solo Debut
Jeesu, also known by his real name Park Ji-su, is a former member of the DMTN group and debuted as a solo singer under the name KIXS (referred to as Kiss) in February 2015. Jeesu previously debuted with the DMTN group in 2011 when the group was still known as Dalmatian, and now he debuted under an agency with g.o.d’s Kim Tae-woo, Soulshop Entertainment. Soulshop Entertainment announced the solo debut of KIXS by releasing various logo photos on their website on January 30, 2015. “This logo was released before the debut of KIXS (Kiss) which is the new face of Soulshop,” the agency wrote on their various online media, “Please wait and look forward to lots of exciting things from Soulshop’s ambitious rookie, KIXS.” Soulshop Entertainment also released various behind-the-scenes photos on their blog that look like KIXS’ music video shooting locations along with photos for the album. They didn’t forget to take photos during the recording process. Jeesu’s last activity as a DMTN member was with the release of “Safety Zone” in 2013, but DMTN’s promotion for this song didn’t last long because one of the group’s members, Daniel, was arrested on charges of selling and using marijuana. DMTN’s Daniel later admitted to the charges and was found guilty. He then appealed and received a shorter and lighter sentence. DMTN was never officially disbanded, but the group’s website is no longer active. One of the former members, Dari, who left the group to join the military also released a song in October 2014 that was written by KIXS who still uses the name Park Ji-su.
