Kanghyun’s Appearance on The Unit
In October 2017, Kanghyun with Harin, Cya, Dongmyeong, and Yonghoon participated in The Unit as contestants. It was known as a survival reality show to form a female and male group among idols who have made their debut. From the show, people could have seen Kanghyun while showing off his vocal and dance skills. Unfortunately, Kanghyun was eliminated in the 7th episode in the final rank #61. Kanghyun’s Debut with MAS 0094
Kanghyun debuted as a guitarist of MAS 0094 on August 13th, 2015, by releasing a digital single titled “Butterfly, Find a Flower”. They were known as an independent rock band that also performed a lot of famous song covers. The band consisted of amazing members such as Kanghyun, Harin, Cya, Yonghoon, and Dongmyeong. In the band, Kanghyun was in charge of the guitarist position. On March 25th, 2016, MAS 0094 released their first EP Feeling Good Day with “Feeling Good” as the lead single. The band was scouted under Modern Music for several years, but eventually, they moved to RBW Entertainment and changed their group’s name MAS in June 2017.
Kanghyun’s Re-debut as a ONEWE Member
Kanghyun continued his career as a guitarist with fellow members after signing with the label RBW Entertainment. They were initially re-named as MAS, but then the band re-debuted by the name ONEWE. They also released their first single album 1/4 with the lead single “Reminisce About All” on May 13th, 2019! 1/4 gained a lot of attention which made ONEWE continuously release single albums, such as 2/4, and 3/4, and many more. While promoting their singles, ONEWE also held several mini-concerts both in Japan and South Korea. Not only that, but ONEWE also made their Japan debut by releasing an indie single album with their song in a Japanese version! Ever since their first appearance as MAS 0094, the band has been welcomed by people wholeheartedly due to their music sense and amazing talents from all of the members. ONEWE has served various genres like alternative rock, pop, R&B, or dance-pop to brighten up your mood with their songs!
